The EORTC Data Center is maintaining an EORTC web site, to inform investigators on important EORTC issues.
This site provides the following information for each individual EORTC Cooperative Group:
However, several EORTC groups would like to publish more extensive information on the Internet. This is encouraged, upon a few specific conditions. The EORTC Data Center will provide some assistance for implementing group specific web pages.
The content of the page should be in agreement with all EORTC policies, and respect the EORTC confidentiality rules. A responsible editor should be identified for each site. The Cooperative Group Chairperson should give his/her approval on the site contents.
An EORTC Cooperative Group home page should contain the EORTC logo. Electronic version of the EORTC logo can be downloaded here :
The EORTC Cooperative Group site should contain a link to the EORTC home page (http://www.eortc.be).
If the list of members is included on the site, the responsible editor must have received the authorization of each member to include his personal data (address, phone and fax number, e-mail address).
Full protocols and interim study reports are confidential documents. It is not recommended to have them directly available on a web site, but rather to distribute them upon request as e-mail attachments. If they are available on the web, they must be at least password protected.
The EORTC Data Center can host EORTC Cooperative Group web sites on its server. Contact should be taken with the Data Center IT Unit for practical modalities (contact: Pascal Ruyskart ).
The maintenance of site can be done via an FTP connection or by sending compressed archive of the site by email on a regular basis.
Links to the Cooperative Group sites will be created from the EORTC web sites, whether the group site is hosted on the EORTC server of elsewhere. In the last case, the responsible editor should contact the IT Unit and provide the complete address of the site.
The EORTC Data Center has presently no resources to assist Cooperative Groups in the design and realization of their own site. You can send your HTLM pages in an email attachment, and they will be saved, on-line on the EORTC web site, without any modification.
