European Accreditation

UEMS

The Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE) has appraised and approved the "EORTC-NCI-ASCO Annual Meeting on 'Molecular Markers in Cancer' (including the tutorial on 25-27 October)”. ACOE accreditation acknowledges the quality of the scientific programme and its educational value. ACOE accreditation has been endorsed by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) – a body of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.

The"EORTC-NCI-ASCO Annual Meeting on 'Molecular Markers in Cancer' (including the tutorial on 25-27 October)” is designated for a maximum of 24 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.

What is CME?

What is ACOE?

What does European accreditation mean for you?

CME (continuing medical education) is defined as educational activities which serve to maintain, develop and increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance that physicians and allied health professionals use to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.

ACOE (Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe) is the unique European multidisciplinary accreditation body in oncology. ACOE accreditation offers participants of CME events in oncology a guarantee of a high quality and unbiased educational program.

The European Accreditation granted by the EACCME allows participants who attend the above-mentioned EORTC event to validate their credits in their own country.
