EORTC-NCI-ASCO Annual Meeting on “Molecular Markers in Cancer”
From 15 November (afternoon) to 17 November 2007
with a tutorial on 14 November, and 15 November (morning)
Sheraton Brussels - Hotel & Towers, 3 Place Rogier, 1210 Brussels, Belgium
We cordially invite you to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the first EORTC-NCI-ASCO Annual Meeting on “Molecular Markers in Cancer” from 15 to 17 November 2007.
The primary purposes of this series are to accelerate progress in the fight against cancer and to improve international scientific collaboration between Europe and the United States in this rapidly advancing field of cancer markers.
Evidence based cancer diagnosis and treatment of cancer increasingly depend on the development of new molecular markers for the assessment of prognosis, treatment selection and agent development. This meeting is an important venue for the discussion of contemporary issues in molecular pathology, assay development, clinical trial design and the development of promising serum and tissues markers as research tools and clinically meaningful laboratory tests.
This meeting is hosted by EORTC, NCI and ASCO and will bring together clinicians, pathologists, laboratory scientists, statisticians and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry as well as regulatory agencies, providing the opportunity for a maximum of interaction and discussion. A tutorial open to selected young oncologists and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry will take place before the main meeting, on 14 November 2007.
EORTC is supported by the Belgian National Lottery and by the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office
